Founded in 1978, Sun City West is actually an unincorporated community. The county of Maricopa provides public health services, street maintenance, building & zoning codes and law enforcement.
Sun City West is such a unique Arizona’s West Valley retirement community as it offers many services within the community. For example you have banks, restaurants, shopping and medical facilities including the Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center.
The Property Owners & Residents Association (PORA) and The Recreation Centers of Sun City West manage the community affairs and each have board elected residents.
